I’m trying to resist buying a kindle, but I’m not sure how long I’ll last… I can’t really justify it – I’ve got the app on my iphone, and tens (or possibly hundreds) of books I haven’t read – but I want one!

Now if they brought one out with a colour screen I’d definitely buy one…

I haven’t gone down the kindle path yet – I like actually having a physical book, but we are running out of space to put more shelves. Good for you for making your blog more accessible!

I’m soooo tempted. I love books, but I can see the positive side. You obviously love yours.

Oh, I love my Kindle. And you will love yours, too!

I think I can help you with the zooming problem. If you send your pattern pdf to your free kindle email address, as an attachment, and put ‘convert’ as the subject of the email, then Amazon very kindly converts the pdf to kindle format. It is like magic, it makes the pattern fit the page. And you can change the text size, then.

Also, regarding fees for document transfer, if you have a look in your Kindle account on Amazon, you can choose to set a limit for the fees allowed to be charged – mine is set at zero, just in case.

Now, I just wish there was a way to change the screen saver timing……

I would never have thought of using a Kindle for knitting patterns and I didn’t know they went online either – but then I am a technophobe. Thanks for the info!

I love my kindle too!! In fact I don’t know anyone who has one that doesn’t.

Thanks for the info about blogs – I shall check it out. I’ve used it for patterns- and yes the pdfs can be a bit annoying. I’m wondering about the bigger version due out soon, I think I’d find pattern reading easier on that.
