I’ve done very well in Hobbycraft again!

Ben wanted to go to Hobbycraft to buy a big cutting mat top use as a surface protector and cutting mat on his desk in his man cave. This is where Ben constructs and paints all his models…

Of course, I was happy to to tag along for a mooch about all the creative bits and bobs and the yarn 😉

I spied some Regia sock yarn I had long admired…half price at £4.49 (was £8.99)  a ball!! Regia yarn has always performed wonderfully for me – knitting perfectly, being machine washed and tumble dried and seeming to never wear out.

But, I saw big signs all over the yarn department shouting proudly,

“YARN! 3 BALLS  FOR THE PRICE OF 2!”

Wouldn’t that be too good to be true? All three balls – should have been £26.97, half price and 3 for 2 at ££8.99??

I suspected I could have half price OR the 3 for 2. How crazy could Hobbycraft be?

VERY CRAZY! 😀

I asked the very nice assistant at the till if they were indeed 3 for 2….

“I’ll check for you madam…Yes they are 3 for 2. Would you like them?”

I nearly bit her hand off – very happy to pay £8.99 for three lovely balls of sock yarn.

Then the nice assistant said,

” That will be £5 please?”

When I looked blankly at her she added,

“They are £2.50 each – is that OK?”

I paid quickly, check the receipt (it was correct!!) and had to stop myself going back and buying the rest of the shelf!

So there you are – if you are near a Hobbycraft, get down there!

Oh – one last thing – I will not be knitting the thigh length stockings on the ball band!

I’m a little too old to rock this look…by about 30 years!
