Lots to catch up with! I started a great new job after Easter which hasn’t left me a lot of energy for blogging…I have been knitting though!
I seem to have finished off a few accessories so I’ll show you those and save the exciting trip I took for my next post 😉
Sugary Stripe Socks:
These are my usual plain boring socks to take travelling on trains and planes when my current project is too big or complicated = I told you all about these here=>> Enough FOs! Here’s a Couple of WIPS!
Done and Ok, if not Earth shattering! 🙂
Ice Mitts:
Next up are my “Ice Mitts” – This was this year’s free gift from my Rowan Subscription.
The yarn is Rowan Colourspun. The pattern is available free here =>> Ice Mitts
I started these on the plane for a weekend away to celebrate a recent big birthday 😉 More about the destination in my next post but “ICE” Mitts were an appropriate choice…
These were a fun little knit in DK yarn with two distinct cable patterns. There are matching scarf and hat patterns too!
Here are the beasties …
Mega Scarf:
My last accessory is the mega scarf – This is the yarn I bought at Christmas in New York – I told you about it here =>> Disaster Success, Woe and Some Fun
It’s a bit bigger than I anticipated…So I got Ben to model it (he’s a foot taller than me)!
Here it is…
Ben did find it warm though…
You can see here how long it is (Ben is over 6 foot…)
Clearly Ben was enjoying his modelling duties and went for his best “Rowan Style” staring into the distance, moody shot…
Unfortunately , all I could do was giggle and be reminded of the shots of Lenny Kravitz in his mega scarf!
