Looking at my blog recently, you might think all I do is buy yarn and never knit it!
I have been knitting and trying to finish some of the numerous WIPs I suddenly discovered I had when I blogged back in September in the post “Whirlwind Update“.
I have, in fact, finished two of those WIPS!
Here is Jasmine, started in the sunshine on the beach in Skiathos and finished in the totally unsuitable mid winter in the UK. I’ll have to wait until spring to wear this one!
Doing my best “posing”
And another shot of the FO…
I wasn’t sure which piccy I liked best!
Jasmine was an easy knit but on tiny tiny 2.75mm needles so she too a while.
I did have a bit of trouble deciphering what the pattern meant me to do at the top of the front – there seem to be some odd triangular bits. I think this is right though.
left and right, just before the sleeves…are those triangles right?
The buttons are ones I had “in stash” – bought and abandoned for another long forgotten project. Nice huh?
I’m really pleased with Jasmine. She fits nicely and I’m sure, will get worn a lot when the weather is better.
My next Finished Object (or Objects??) isn’t as exciting – plain socks.
Again on the Skiathos trip, I had started these on the plane as the fine straight needles I needed for Jasmine might have upset airport security.
These were my usual plain socks but made with the fabulous Jawool Magic…
Last time you saw them
And now in all their fabulousness!
Love those funky stripes!
And a shot whithout my feet in them…
Hmmm…You can just see where the needle change was – dang! A couple of washes and that won’t show…
Of course – I couldn’t have all this fun and photograph taking without Purcey getting involved!
What are these on my rug, Mum? Can I bite them?
So I’ll leave you with the finished knit reports and get back to getting another WIP out of the way so I can start of some of that New York loveliness 🙂
