I don’t understand.
It should have been a lovely knit – beautiful Nimu yarn and easy but interesting pattern.? So why was the Stripe Study Shawl such a boring slog to finish?
I guess it’s because I had to rip it back and start again so I’ve probably knit one and a half of these not just one! And it was made worse because when I came to reknit it, I think it might have been right in the first place! I really hate having to reknit đ
I suppose it was just too much stocking stitch coupled with the fact that I’m not that much of a shawl wearer đ
And the last 4″ of grey around the edge were SO BORING! I actually got poked in the leg a with a knitting needle at the Guilty Knitters by my friend Judie, because I was absent mindedly slogging through the grey saying,
“Bored Bored Bored Bored Boredy Boredy Bored Bored…..”
But I’m not one for leaving projects unfinished so IÂ persevered…
I asked Ziggy for some inspiration but but the monotony had got to her first – no help here…

I’m actually quite pleased with the finished shawl and it will go with a lot of my clothes.
Even Ziggy woke up and decided she liked it – if only for sitting on – and I didn’t dare move her – look at that face!

That yarn is nommy nom nom! I must go and explore the website post haste. I like the shawl, but then I’m a massive shawl fan and will wear one on any occassion. This looks like a nice every day smart/casual shawl to me. Wear it and grow to love the shawl.
I think it”s lovely and I think you will grow to love it why don’t you put it away til next winter and get it out when the weather gets cold. It’ll be like a surprise.
I love the colours of the yarn, they go really well together. I bet you’ll get lots of use from it. Ziggy’s face is priceless!
