I’ve just been looking at writting my Blogiversary post, summarizing the year’s knitting, and realized with horror – there are some projects I’ve never photographed or blogged!
So here is a quick and dirty blog post of the ones I missed, Completed Knit Reports at the end…
The Little Red Hat…
A project to use up some lovely bulky Rowan Ribbon Twist in red that had been in my stash for years. I never look good in “Bulky” this was no exception. The pattern was lovely, I enjoyed the smocking effect but it looked like a wild old lady’s showcap on me 😮
The rest of my bulky stash was given to a knitterly friend at work who looks great in it!
That’s not a good look on me…
The smock detail was nice though!
The Hero Boot Cuffs….
These are another impulse buy from Purl Alpaca

These are actually quite fun – I don’t know why I didn’t blog them before??
These little Boot cuffs or “Boot Toppers”are actually quite tricky to make – rolled, scalloped knitted edges and a pretty lace panel before you get to the easy rib that goes on your leg.

looks even better on “long” boots…
They take just under a ball per leg so I might make more for “stashbusting” 🙂
