I’m so happy, I’ve worn Lunenburg for 3 weeks, almost non-stop 😍
I finished her, just in time for a glamping mini break in Northumberland. We really “roughed it” in a luxury wooden bothy in the middle of a field with fantastic views down to the sea. Lunenberg was the perfect jumper exploring castles, visiting pubs and standing in a field 😉
I have hardly taken her off.
She was also worn on a very chilly boat trip to see Lindisfarne and the grey seals of the Farne Islands. I only mention that because, outside the boat company offices, this wildlife postbox topper made me laugh!
It took me a month to finish Lunenberg because it was summer and I suffered a little SKS (Summer Knitting Slump) – bad Susan 🫥Once all the fun of the beautiful yoke was done , it was a very plain, stocking stitch straight body , straight forward sleeves and basic ribbed hem – I admit – it was a little uninspiring.
A quick press lifted the fairisle and finished it off…
She was a joy to knit, fits well, is warm and eminently wearable – what more could I ask for? 😁
…Now seriously considering a second version with the yarn from my disastrous Gardengate…
